By the second encounter—an average of approximately 44 days after enrollment—35.6% of the full cohort had already achieved a clinically meaningful improvement in DLQI. That increased to 59.9% by the third encounter and 66.3% by final follow-up. These outcomes emerge quickly enough to be visible within annual plan performance and reporting cycles.

Published in Dermatology Practical & Conceptual with researchers from Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Harvard Medical School, the analysis followed 329 patients through Zest’s virtual, high-access care model. By the second encounter, 35.6% had achieved a clinically meaningful improvement in quality of life, and by final follow-up the proportion experiencing severe disease burden had fallen from 51% to 12%.
