Dr. Rachel Day, MD, FAAD, a board-certified dermatologist specializing in the treatment of psoriasis and  eczema, and Chief Medical Officer at Zest Health, was interviewed by Healio on the future of dermatology relying on telehealth.

Dr. Day had just set up her own brick-and-mortar dermatology clinic when the world went into the COVID lockdown in March 2020. It was then that she first recognized telemedicine as a potential career path. Her desire to create broader impact led her to join Zest Health.

In the article, Dr. Day shares how Zest Health has intentionally chosen to have longer appointment times and offer unlimited access and value-based payment models to bring so much value to building a relationship with patients.

Utilizing telemedicine reduces barriers for accessing expert care. As a dermatologist, Dr. Day says how she feels that she can impact so many people living in remote or resource-poor areas. Zest Health shows how dermatology is a proven way to provide high-quality care to people living with chronic autoimmune conditions like eczema and psoriasis.
